1958 / / BAKA (= hinge fitting within the shortest possible working time). This revolutionary development wins over the iron fittings market at a record pace. Using an advanced hinge gauging system, even untrained staff is able to install the BAKA drill-in hinges fast.
1957 / / The age of the steam engine is also over at SIMONSWERK. They are replaced with modern engines, powered by electrical motors. Together with a galvanising plant, this provides the company a significant technical cutting edge.
1946 / / After the war, SIMONSWERK reacts to the rapidly-developing tobacco production in Germany. At short notice, a market niche in the manufacture of tobacco cutting machines is opened up.
