Strong function: wood and aluminium knuckle hinges for house doors 31-03-2009

The house door is a house's "business card" and therefore leaves an initial impression of the building and its inhabitants. Following this demand, the construction and design of the house doors has been continuously developed and the advantages of the materials wood and aluminium have been united in an extraordinary combination. SIMONSWERK continues this trend with a technically matured and simultaneously elegant knuckle hinge solution.
The wood ensures the stability and safety of the door and takes especially the comfort of the interior view into consideration. On the other hand, the aluminium shell place on the outside provides reliable weather protection, providing the house door additional stability.
The VARIANT VX 7729/160-4 HA hinge system was specially developed for this requirement of house doors consisting of wood and aluminium. The system, which blends harmoniously into the overall picture of the entrance area with its subtle optics, is based on the proven VARIANT VX knuckle hinge technology.
