By pressing a blind rivet nut in using the corresponding blind rivet tongs, new hinge receivers are created in existing steel frames. Therefore, the use of the latest hinge technology as retrofitting hinges on new doors is possible whilst simultaneously using the old steel frames for high load capacities of up to 160 kg. SIMONSWERK drilling jig technology enables easy implementation.
The VARIANT Compact hinge system offers a special solution in this context. Replacing the receiver in the door leaf means that existing frames can continue to be used, saving both time and money, and the door element can be fitted with an up-to-date hinge system.
Upgrade

Later changes such as the reinforcement or replacement of the existing hinge system on timber or glass residential doors frequently pose special challenges.
